The idea of Elliot Page taking on the role of The Flash in the DCU has captured the imaginations of many. Recently, a Facebook post by The Mother of All Nerds showcased AI-generated images of Page, known for ‘The Umbrella Academy,’ dressed as the superhero. These pictures, featuring Page both with and without the iconic helmet, quickly spread across social media platforms.

The post highlights Elliot Page’s solid acting background as a strong foundation for this potential role. It suggests that Page could introduce a fresh take on the character, following the departure of Ezra Miller from the DC cinematic landscape. There’s also talk of possibly exploring different versions of The Flash, such as Wally West or Jay Garrick, which could refresh the narrative within the DCU.

Currently, there’s no confirmed plan for Page to step into this role, nor is it clear when The Flash will appear in the upcoming DCU film and TV series. Nevertheless, the character remains a fan favorite, ensuring his return to the screen is highly anticipated. Although some actors from the DCEU will reprise their roles in the new universe, Ezra Miller will not return as The Flash due to recent controversies and a poorly received 2023 film.

As for Elliot Page’s recent activities, he has been quite busy. He just wrapped up the final season of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ on Netflix and voiced a character in the new ‘Ark’ animated series on Paramount+. Additionally, Page took on both acting and producing roles in the drama ‘Close to You.’

Meanwhile, another popular choice for The Flash is Grant Gustin, who has played Barry Allen for nine seasons on The CW’s ‘The Flash.’ While Page hasn’t made any comments regarding this possible casting, Gustin mentioned his open line of communication with DCU co-head James Gunn, hinting at potential opportunities within the DCU.

In his interview with Men’s Health, Gustin expressed his ongoing openness to DCU roles: ‘Look, there are no doors right now that are slammed shut for me in any capacity. And that’s why I said what I said about James Gunn. I love the Guardians movies, I love what he’s done…’

The enthusiasm around these discussions shows the strong connection fans have with these characters and their eagerness to see what the new DCU will bring.
