DC Celebrates Valentine’s Day with a Love-Filled One-Shot Comic
In an exciting update from DC, a special Valentine’s Day comic called ‘DC’s Lex & the City #1’ is set to release. This 80-page anthology, scheduled for release on January 29th, 2025, features stories filled with romance and drama from the DC Universe. It continues the tradition of Valentine’s themed comics like ‘Love Is a Battlefield’ and ‘Harley Quinn Romances’.
‘DC’s Lex & the City #1‘ is not the only highlight from DC’s January 2025 announcements. Fans can also look forward to a new Aquaman series and ‘The Atom Project’, which will feature both Ray Palmer and Ryan Choi as The Atom, alongside Captain Atom.

The anthology has stories penned by a variety of writers including Brendan Hay, Sina Grace, and Callie C. Miller, among others. Artists like Howard Porter and Leslie Hung bring these tales to life with their vibrant artwork. Amanda Conner designed the main cover, while variant covers are by Saowee and Sozomaika.
The comic promises to deliver heartfelt narratives with a touch of city charm. In one story, Lex Luthor deals with his feelings for Superman, while another tale takes Raven and Beast Boy on a potentially hazardous scavenger hunt through San Francisco. In Gotham, Damian Wayne seeks dating advice on a journey set up by Tim Drake.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, this anthology invites readers to dive into the emotional rollercoaster of DC’s most beloved characters. And there’s more for DC fans! Nicholas Hoult is gearing up for his role as Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie, set for release in the summer of 2025.
This film will explore Superman’s struggle between his Kryptonian heritage and his upbringing as Clark Kent in Smallville, Kansas. The cast includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen.
Nicholas Hoult shared his preparations for the role, citing a powerful line from ‘All-Star Superman’ about hard work and authenticity as his motivation. This level of dedication promises a compelling portrayal of Lex Luthor in the much-anticipated movie.
Be sure to mark your calendars for January 29, 2025, to grab a copy of ‘DC’s Lex & the City’ from your nearest comic store. It’s a perfect blend of love, action, and iconic cityscapes, wrapped up in a comic book experience that’s not to be missed.
