‘Power Rangers: Across The Morphin Grid’ #1 serves as a platform for actors from previous seasons to add new layers to their characters.

This comic book issue features five unique stories, each exploring different facets of the Power Rangers saga through the eyes of the actors who portrayed these iconic roles.

One story, ‘Billyโ€™s Metamorphosis,’ penned by David Yost, who played the original Blue Ranger, follows Billy on a solo mission for the Morphin Masters.

Stranded on an alien planet, Billy discovers he’s not as isolated as he first thought. Yost uses his deep connection with Billy to explore the character’s intellect and resourcefulness without once using his powers to morph.

The visuals by Patrick Mulholland and colors by Ellie Wright beautifully complement the alien setting, introducing a mysterious character named Adriel, whose body appears to be made of space and stars.

Walter Jones, the original Black Ranger, writes ‘An Apple A Day,’ where he digs into Zack’s cheerful demeanor.

Zack’s ability to stay upbeat helps him manage both community responsibilities and combat Rita Repulsaโ€™s monstrous creations, like an apple-shaped monster named Bob.

Artists Domiko ‘Domo’ Station and DJ Chavis add a playful touch with their depiction of the decaying apple monster.

In ‘Tanyaโ€™s Heavy Metal Rescue,’ Nakia Burrise revisits her character Tanya Sloan from Power Rangers Zeo.

Co-written with JD Sutphin and illustrated by Tango with colors by JP Jordan, this story sends Tanya on a mission to rescue fellow Ranger Adam Park from the Machine Empire, showcasing Tanya’s heroism in beautifully drawn sequences.

Steve Cardenas revisits Rocky DeSantos in ‘In The Red,’ exploring deeper aspects of his life that the shows never fully developed.

This story, enhanced by Anad Ramcheron’s anime-like artwork, focuses on Rockyโ€™s sister Raina discovering her own strengths through her brother’s Ranger identity.

Finally, ‘Chloeโ€™s Chaos Kitchen’ by Meghan Camarena, illustrated by Paulina Gancheau, brings a whimsical twist to the Power Rangers Hyperforce universe.

The story features cooking chaos and a magical unicorn ride, highlighting the diverse storytelling possibilities within the Power Rangers lore.

‘Power Rangers: Across The Morphin Grid’ #1 is a creative celebration of the franchiseโ€™s history, allowing fans to see their favorite Rangers in new adventures and proving that there is more to these heroes than just fighting skills and flashy suits.

This comic is a must-read for those who cherish the legacy and are eager to see how it continues to evolve.
