T.J. Miller Talks Reconnecting with Ryan Reynolds and Hopes for a ‘Deadpool 4’ Comeback
T.J. Miller, once a notable figure in the first two ‘Deadpool’ films as the character Weasel, is looking to make a return to the franchise.
Despite his rocky past with co-star Ryan Reynolds and a string of controversies that seemingly ousted him from future installments, Miller is now expressing a newfound optimism about rejoining the series.
After his exit from the ‘Deadpool’ series following sexual assault allegations—which he denied—Miller’s career faced significant challenges.
These accusations emerged right after he completed his role in ‘Deadpool 2’ and were compounded by a subsequent arrest over a false bomb threat on an Amtrak train and bullying claims from his ‘Silicon Valley’ co-star Alice Wetterlund.
Despite these issues, which also included a public falling-out with Reynolds, Miller seems to have mended fences with his former co-star.
The actor shared on SiriusXM’s ‘The Bonfire’ that after a recent conversation with Reynolds, he feels the dynamic between them has changed significantly.
Just a couple of years ago, Miller had expressed doubts about their relationship on ‘The Adam Carolla Show,’ saying he felt Reynolds had treated him poorly and was affected by his fame.
He even shared anecdotes of Reynolds being particularly harsh, jokingly belittling his contribution to the film.
However, Miller now describes Reynolds as “such a good friend” and is enthusiastic about the potential of joining ‘Deadpool 4.’
This shift comes despite earlier assertions that he would not have returned for ‘Deadpool 3’ even if his salary were doubled.
His change of heart highlights a significant reconciliation and opens up possibilities for his character’s return in future projects.
This evolving relationship could pave the way for exciting developments in the ‘Deadpool’ series, with fans eager to see how these off-screen dynamics play out in the cinematic world.
