According to Perez, Spider-Man might be at the heart of the forthcoming ‘Secret Wars.’ It appears that Peter Parker’s decision to meddle with the multiverse in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ had far-reaching consequences.
Not only did his actions result in personal tragedies—including the loss of his aunt, friends, and girlfriend—but they also triggered the collapse of the multiverse itself.
Perez believes Spider-Man’s deep sense of guilt and responsibility could position him as a central figure in ‘Secret Wars.’ “Imagine the burden on Peter, knowing his choices led to such losses, and now, the destruction of the universe and multiverse might rest on his shoulders,” he remarked.
The weight of his actions, driven by good intentions but poor judgment, might have paved a catastrophic path. In his desperation to make people forget his Spider-Man identity, Peter Parker asked Doctor Strange to cast a risky spell, which now has potential universe-altering implications.
On another exciting note, there’s a possibility of Spider-Man making a cameo in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ “I’m not certain, but efforts are underway to include a brief appearance, hinting at Fisk and his Punishers chasing vigilantes like him,” shared Perez.
Amidst these revelations, a new Spider-Man movie is also in the pipeline. Initially rumored to be a street-level narrative, it’s now expected to delve deeper into the multiverse, linking directly to the dramatic events of ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars.’
