‘Agatha All Along’ Delivers Big Reveals in Funko Pop Frenzy

In a move reminiscent of ‘WandaVision,’ the latest MCU TV show, ‘Agatha All Along,’ has been stirring up plenty of discussions and theories among viewers. Some of these speculations have finally been addressed, thanks to a little help from some Funko Pop merchandise.

The UK retailer Smyths recently featured a Funko Pop package that confirmed long-running speculations regarding Joe Locke’s character. Initially, fans were divided over whether Locke would portray Billy Maximoff/Billy Kaplan or Nicholas Scratch, the son of Agatha Harkness. However, it’s now clear as dayโ€”Locke is playing Wiccan, complete with a comic-accurate costume and a headband nodding to his mother, the Scarlet Witch.

On the other hand, Aubrey Plaza’s character was a more closely guarded secret until now. During the press tour for ‘Agatha All Along,’ Plaza excitedly hinted at the big reveal of her character, Rio Vidal, who is actually Death.

This character choice is quite a surprise considering Death in the comics is a cosmic entity with little to no connection to witchcraft, suggesting some creative liberties were taken to fit her into the show’s narrative. Speculations are also swirling about her potential involvement in future MCU plot twists, especially with the looming threat of Incursions in upcoming Avengers films.

The series, now streaming its first two episodes on Disney+, features Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness. Following her magical mishaps, a mysterious goth teen persuades Agatha to embark on the perilous Witches’ Road, promising to restore her powers. This journey not only draws them closer but also assembles a ragtag coven eager to tackle the road’s trials.

Kathryn Hahn leads a talented cast that includes Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, and Paul Adelstein, with notable appearances by Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone. The show promises to be a supernatural delight, continuing the charm and intrigue that ‘WandaVision’ fans adored.

Executive producers Kevin Feige, Louis Dโ€™Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, and Jac Schaeffer, who also serves as the head writer and director for several episodes, have put together a series that feels both new and familiar to MCU enthusiasts. Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Monteiro also contribute their directing talents to this original live-action series.

As we dive deeper into the mysteries and magic of ‘Agatha All Along,’ it’s exciting to see where these new character arcs will lead, especially with such significant revelations already shaking up the fan base. Stay tuned to catch all the twists and turns this series has to offer!
