Marvel Studios’ ‘Agatha All Along’ has made a solid debut on Disney+, with the first two episodes now available for streaming. The series, which faced modest expectations, seems to be gaining traction after its initial release. Despite an early lukewarm response, the tide has turned favorably for the show.

When critics first got their hands on the series, with four episodes released for review, the reactions were mixed. Initially, the series earned a somewhat low score of 69% on Rotten Tomatoes, placing it among the lower ranks of Marvel Television projects. This was a surprising start given the excitement usually surrounding Marvel’s releases. Then it fell even lower to 68%!

However, the scenario has improved considerably. Additional reviews have since been published, and the series’ score has climbed to 79% from 74 critic reviews (in the time of writing). This bump in ratings has earned it the ‘Certified Fresh’ status from the review aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes.

The series features a strong cast and incorporates elements of horror, which seem to resonate well with the audience. These factors, combined with engaging trailers, have slowly but surely garnered more interest and approval from viewers. The positive shift in audience reception is a clear indicator that sometimes, it just takes a bit of time for a series to find its footing.

We can see from the audience’s growing approval that ‘Agatha All Along’ has the potential to be a dark horse in Marvel’s expansive universe. Its initial stumble on the ratings ladder didn’t deter it from rising and proving its worth among both critics and fans.

The journey from its humble beginnings to achieving a ‘Certified Fresh’ badge is a testament to the show’s quality and appeal that may have taken a moment to shine through. As more episodes hit the screens, it will be interesting to see how the series evolves and whether it can maintain this newfound momentum.
