Anthony Mackie Seems to Spoil Big Return in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’

Anthony Mackie is stepping into Captain America’s shoes in the upcoming movie ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025. Having played Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for years, Mackie’s slip during a recent interview adds a twist to his debut. He let slip that Hulk might just make an appearance in the new film.

During a chat with Entertainment Weekly following San Diego Comic-Con, where the ‘Brave New World’ cast shared insights about what to expect, Mackie unexpectedly hinted at Hulk’s presence. Unlike Harrison Ford, who plays Red Hulk and kept his cards close to his chest, Mackie’s reveal was quite the surprise.

He mentioned, ‘The events of Hulk and his film don’t pertain to this movie at all. When and if he shows up… Not Red Hulk! The other Hulk! There are multiple Hulks! So, when he shows up… his world, his universe, his story, is completely separate from what… we are doing.’

Mark Ruffalo, known for his role as Hulk, had previously hinted at his involvement in ‘Brave New World’ during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Despite later denials from MCU, claiming Ruffalo ‘misspoke,’ it seems Mackie’s comments might confirm the green giant’s return.

MCU actors have a bit of a history with spoilers. Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo have been known to accidentally share too much during interviews. Ruffalo, in particular, has been notorious for spilling the beans on major plot points in past movies like ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame.’
