DC All In is ushering in new beginnings for several heroes, and Aquaman is no exception. The aftermath of Absolute Power has left notable shifts in the abilities of various characters, and Arthur Curry, better known as Aquaman, is stepping into the spotlight with a revamped powerset.

His return in a new series this January marks an exciting development in the DC Universe, which continues to expand its roster alongside the Absolute Universe.

The latest volume of Aquaman, unveiled in DC Connect magazine, is set to explore these fresh capabilities. Though DC remains tight-lipped about the specifics of his new abilities, clues suggest that the former King of Atlantis might now possess enhanced control over water.

This hint comes from the Aquaman #1 cover artwork by John Timms, which depicts him skillfully crafting a sword from water while mounted on a formidable shark.

Jeremy Adams and John Timms, known for their work on Green Lantern and Harley Quinn respectively, are at the helm of this anticipated release. Their creative direction is expected to breathe new life into the storyline and character dynamics.

In addition to Aquaman’s transformation, the comic will also introduce exciting elements and characters, including the debut of Dagon, a new ally in Aquaman’s adventures. We’ll also see updated character designs for Mera and Aqualad, as well as formidable ‘mammoth water-construct Kaijus’ that pose new challenges for the heroes.

As Aquaman embarks on this rejuvenated path with novel powers and allies, fans and newcomers alike have much to look forward to.

The intrigue surrounding his expanded abilities and the fresh threats looming in the waters promise a series brimming with action and new adventures. Stay tuned for a deep dive into the mysteries and excitement that await in the depths of DC’s expansive sea.
