Avatar: Fire and Ash Reaches $760 Million Global Box Office

James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ has solidified its position as a major blockbuster in its second weekend. The film crossed the $760 million mark worldwide. Domestic earnings stand at $217.7 million.

International markets contributed $542.7 million to the total. This performance pushed the entire Avatar franchise past $6 billion in global cumulative grosses.

‘Zootopia 2’ became the first 2025 release to surpass $1 billion overseas. Its worldwide total now exceeds $1.42 billion. The animated sequel ranks as the highest-grossing Hollywood animated film internationally.

‘Marty Supreme’, starring Timothรฉe Chalamet, expanded nationwide and earned $27.1 million over the four-day holiday period. The A24 title set a record for the studio’s widest release performance.

Other openers included ‘Anaconda’ with $23 million domestically in its debut frame. ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants’ added to the family-friendly options.

The final weekend of 2025 delivered strong results across diverse titles. Overall domestic box office for the year approaches $8.87 billion.

Projections indicate ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ could reach $1.8 billion globally. Its hold remained solid with a 28% drop from the opening weekend.

China provided nearly $100 million for the threequel. This marked the second Hollywood film of the year to hit that milestone in the market.

The Christmas frame ranked as the best post-pandemic holiday period. Multiple films benefited from extended family audiences.
