Beau DeMayo Suggests Manny Jacinto for MCU’s Iron Fist Role

Beau DeMayo thinks Manny Jacinto would make a great Iron Fist for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). DeMayo, known for his work in the industry and his recent stint with ‘X-Men ‘97,’ believes Jacinto has what it takes despite a previous version of Iron Fist played by Finn Jones that didn’t impress many.

Jacinto has been getting a lot of attention after his performance in ‘The Acolyte.’ Even though the show wasn’t rated highly, his acting and ability to do his own stunts caught the eye of many important figures in the film industry. DeMayo expressed his thoughts on a social media platform X, mentioning that Jacinto could bring a fresh take on Iron Fist, a character previously explored in the Netflix Marvel series.

The MCU is now expanding, with stories like ‘Shang-Chi’ exploring themes similar to those of Iron Fist, which deals with mystical powers and dragons. However, this might complicate things. There are concerns about changing the race of Danny Rand, Iron Fist’s original character, as it could lead to backlash. This makes it tricky for Jacinto to step into these shoes.

Thankfully, there’s another character, Lin Lie, a newer Iron Fist from the Marvel Comics, who could be a good fit for Jacinto. Lin Lie takes on the mantle after Shou-Lao the Undying, and fans have noted he looks a lot like Jacinto. This could be a smooth way to introduce him without the need for any controversial changes.

We’re always excited to see new actors bring comic book characters to life, and Jacinto has shown he’s got the charisma and charm for the role. It would be interesting to see how the MCU decides to weave these characters into their expanding universe.
