Cristin Milioti Dreams Big for a Catwoman and Sofia Falcone Crossover in ‘The Batman’ Universe
During the exciting season finale of ‘The Penguin,’ a potential team-up between Sofia Falcone and Catwoman, portrayed by Zoe Kravitz, was hinted at, stirring excitement among fans.
Cristin Milioti shared her hopes for her character, Sofia, at New York Comic-Con (NYCC), where The Direct caught up with the cast.
Milioti expressed a deep connection with her character and an eagerness to explore more. ‘I’m obsessed with her. It’s one of my favorite roles ever,’ she said.
The actress imagines a powerful alliance between Sofia and Catwoman that would be nothing short of explosive. ‘If Sofia and Selina Kyle came together, we would really tear things up,’ Milioti explained with enthusiasm.
The show’s narrative left viewers intrigued as Sofia received a significant letter from Selina Kyle while confined in Arkham Asylum.
This piece of correspondence seems to pave the way for more adventurous plotlines in ‘The Batman: Part II.’
Showrunner Lauren LeFranc hinted at the emotional depth this connection could bring, emphasizing the familial bond between the half-sisters. ‘Selena offers that sense of hope because they are family. It’s a little bit of hope for Sofia,’ LeFranc shared.
Rhenzy Feliz also spoke about his character, Victor, whose fate was sealed by Oz Cobb in the finale.
Feliz revealed that his character’s demise was planned from the start, although it caught Victor off guard. ‘I think he thought he was different, that Oz wouldn’t do that to him,’ Feliz noted, capturing the shock of betrayal.
Furthermore, Deirdre O’Connell, portraying Francis Cobb, spoke about her character’s complex emotions as she lies comatose, sensing her son’s love fading away. ‘When he withdrew his love, I just felt the love leave the room,’ O’Connell expressed, highlighting the intense family drama.
As fans eagerly anticipate what’s next, the possibility of Francis waking up and confronting her son’s actions could add another layer of intrigue to ‘The Penguin Season 2.’ The setup has left the door open for many thrilling possibilities in Gotham’s gritty universe.
