‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Shakes Up the MCU with a Bloody Good Start
With only two weeks left until ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hits theaters, anticipation is sky-high. This movie is a big deal for a couple of reasons. It’s not just the only MCU release this year but also the first to feature Deadpool since his move from Fox’s X-Men series. What’s more, it’s the MCU’s first R-rated film, setting a new stage for mutants.
The excitement for this film could bring back the magic we’ve been missing in the MCU lately. After a few movies that didn’t do so well, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ might just become Disney’s top earner of the year, even beating ‘Inside Out 2.’
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are out there promoting the film. Recently in London, they showed over 30 minutes of the movie, and people loved it. It seems Disney didn’t hold back on letting Reynolds be his usual, unfiltered Deadpool self.
They’ve been smart with the teasers too—lots of clips and trailers, but nothing that spoils the big surprises. This movie might just shake things up in the MCU.
I’ve heard no bad things about it yet, and that’s always a good sign. Full reviews are still on hold until the embargo lifts, but for now, the hype is real. You can see it for yourself in theaters starting July 26.
Amy West, Cinema Bravo, Nacht Silver, Joe HZ, Percival TW, and Ian Sandwell have all tweeted about the film, sharing their excitement and initial thoughts without giving too much away. Check them out below.
