‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Star Ryan Reynolds Teams Up with Hugh Jackman for a Brand-New Movie

In a recent podcast interview on Variety’s Awards Circuit, Ryan Reynolds shared exciting news about a forthcoming project.

Reynolds revealed he is dedicating the next year to writing a movie specifically for himself, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy.

The film is unique as it will not fall under the Marvel banner or involve Disney.

Shawn Levy, a recurring collaborator, will direct the movie. He has previously worked with Jackman in the 2011 sci-fi ‘Real Steel’ and partnered with Reynolds in ‘Free Guy’ (2021) and ‘The Adam Project’ (2022).

Their creative synergy has only grown stronger following their successful summer release, which was a tribute to the X-Men films produced by 20th Century Fox.

While the specifics of the film’s plot remain under wraps, it’s expected to feature the comedic flair that both Reynolds and Jackman are known for. Given Reynolds’s timeline, filming is not likely to start before 2026.

The project promises to deliver a fresh experience, distancing itself from their superhero personas yet capitalizing on the duo’s well-known rapport.

With the trio’s history of hits and a loyal fan base eager for their next move, anticipation is already building for this new venture.
