International markets added substantial sums to ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’. The film earned $11 million overseas on Christmas Eve. China contributed $71 million to the foreign tally.
No other studio has hit $6 billion globally since 2015. Disney last achieved the figure in 2019. Pandemic effects had delayed such highs until this year.
Earlier 2025 releases supported the total. ‘Zootopia 2’ and ‘Lilo & Stitch’ provided strong performances. ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ accelerated the climb in December.
Christmas Eve domestic box office exceeded $27 million overall. This marked a 5% increase from 2024. Holiday patterns boosted attendance across titles.
