Elon Musk Backing Gina Carano in Her Battle Against Disney
Gina Carano, once celebrated for her role in ‘The Mandalorian’ alongside Pedro Pascal, had her character crafted especially for her, making her a fan favorite. Unfortunately, her journey with Disney was cut short when they decided not to renew her contract due to her vocal political beliefs, particularly her criticism of “woke” culture. This led to her character being removed from the show, despite the popularity she brought to the series.
Following her departure, Carano has been quite open about her disagreements with Disney. She’s even taken legal action hoping to either return to her role or receive compensation. In her legal battle, Carano told The Hollywood Reporter that she’s received strong backing, adding an interesting layer to her fight.
The clash between Carano and Disney has turned quite heated. Musk himself has had his own scuffles with Disney over advertising disagreements. He was quoted expressing his disdain for any form of financial blackmail in quite bold terms, even addressing Disney’s Bob Iger directly during a public statement.
As of now, both Disney and Musk have not commented directly on Carano’s remarks.
