‘The Acolyte’ Episode 8 Finally Answered a Big Star Wars Question About Qimir

The final episode of ‘The Acolyte’ has aired, clearing up some mysteries and setting up others for a possible second season. One of the main reveals includes the backstory between Qimir and Master Sol, sparking much interest.

Throughout the season, it was uncertain how Qimir and Master Sol knew each other. Many of us thought they might be brothers or that Qimir was once a youngling under Sol’s mentorship. However, the truth turned out to be much grimmer. It was disclosed that Qimir was previously a student of Vernestra, who claims he turned to the dark side. When Vernestra shows up, Qimir, realizing she can sense him, quickly puts on his cortosis helmet that shields thoughts and disappears.

This connection means Qimir had met Master Sol during his time as Vernestra’s Padawan. A notable detail about Qimir is a distinctive scar on his back, likely caused by Vernestra with her lightsaber whip, supporting some of our earlier theories.

The episode also treated us to some exciting cameos from characters like Grand Master Yoda and Darth Plagueis the Wise. How these characters will influence future plots is still up in the air.

With all these revelations, there’s plenty of material left for more exploration in the series’ future, hinting at a rich backstory yet to be fully unveiled between Qimir and Vernestra. I can’t wait to see where they take it from here!
