Weโ€™ve put together a list of every DCEU movie, ranked by how much we enjoy them. Letโ€™s dive into the world of DC movies and see which ones stand out the most.

The ranking was made on Ranker by thousands of fans.

15. Wonder Woman 1984

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ brings us back to the world of Diana Prince, set in the vibrant 1980s. This sequel sees Wonder Woman facing new foes, including the powerful Cheetah and the mysterious Maxwell Lord. While the movie captures the nostalgic essence of the ’80s and Gal Gadot continues to shine as the Amazonian hero, some of us felt the story didn’t quite live up to the original. The film explores themes of truth and desire, but its execution left mixed feelings among us.

14. Justice League

‘Justice League’ aims to unite our favorite DC heroes to save the world from a looming threat. With Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg teaming up, the movie had high expectations. However, the theatrical release didn’t quite hit the mark for many of us. Despite some thrilling action scenes and character moments, the film’s rushed storyline and uneven tone were disappointing. The later release of Zack Snyder’s cut offered a more satisfying vision of what this team-up could have been.

13. Suicide Squad

‘Suicide Squad’ introduces us to a group of dangerous villains forced to work together on a secret mission. With big names like Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto, the film promised a lot but delivered mixed results. We enjoyed the chemistry among the characters and some standout performances, especially Robbie’s Harley Quinn. However, the plot felt disjointed, and the movie’s tone shifted too often. Despite its flaws, ‘Suicide Squad’ has its moments and remains a bold entry in the DCEU.

12. Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

‘Birds of Prey’ focuses on Harley Quinn after her breakup with the Joker, as she teams up with other female antiheroes. Margot Robbie shines once again as Harley, bringing energy and fun to the film. The movie’s colorful style and dynamic action scenes are highlights. However, while we enjoyed the fresh take on Harley’s story, some of us felt the plot could have been tighter. ‘Birds of Prey’ stands out for its unique approach and strong performances.

11. Shazam! Fury of the Gods

‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ continues the adventures of the teenage superhero Billy Batson and his foster family. The film keeps the humor and heart that made the first movie enjoyable. Zachary Levi’s portrayal of Shazam remains charming and fun. However, the sequel didn’t quite capture the same magic as the original, with some of us finding the story less engaging. Despite this, it still provides an entertaining experience with plenty of laughs and action.

10. Blue Beetle

‘Blue Beetle’ introduces us to Jaime Reyes, a teenager who gains superpowers from an alien scarab. This movie offers a fresh perspective in the DCEU with its focus on family and heritage. Xolo Maridueรฑa brings a relatable and heartfelt performance as Jaime. The film’s blend of action, humor, and cultural themes makes it unique. While it’s not as well-known as other DCEU titles, ‘Blue Beetle’ has won over many of us with its engaging story and vibrant characters.

9. The Flash

‘The Flash’ follows Barry Allen as he tries to navigate his powers and the consequences of time travel. Ezra Miller’s performance as the speedy hero brings both humor and emotional depth. The movie’s exploration of alternate realities and familiar faces from different timelines adds excitement. However, some of us felt the plot was a bit convoluted. Despite this, ‘The Flash’ offers thrilling moments and a fresh take on the superhero genre.

8. Black Adam

‘Black Adam’ stars Dwayne Johnson as the powerful antihero from ancient times. The film explores his origins and his clash with modern heroes. Johnson’s charismatic performance and the film’s intense action sequences are highlights. We appreciated the darker tone and the introduction of new characters in the DCEU. While the story had its ups and downs, ‘Black Adam’ stands out for its bold approach and Johnson’s commanding presence.

7. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ pits two of DC’s greatest heroes against each other. With Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, the film promised epic battles and deep themes. The movie’s dark tone and ambitious storyline were divisive. Some of us loved the exploration of heroism and power, while others found it overly serious. Despite mixed reactions, the film’s action scenes and dramatic moments have left a lasting impression.

6. The Suicide Squad

‘The Suicide Squad’ by James Gunn reboots the concept with a new cast and a fresh style. Margot Robbie returns as Harley Quinn, joined by new faces like Idris Elba and John Cena. The film’s mix of dark humor, over-the-top action, and unexpected twists makes it a standout. We appreciated Gunn’s unique vision and the development of its quirky characters. While not perfect, ‘The Suicide Squad’ is a wild ride that’s both entertaining and engaging.

5. Shazam!

‘Shazam!’ introduces us to a teenage boy who can transform into an adult superhero with a magic word. The film’s lighthearted tone and focus on family make it a refreshing addition to the DCEU. Zachary Levi’s performance as the superhero version of Billy Batson is full of charm and humor. We loved the balance of fun, action, and heartwarming moments. ‘Shazam!’ proves that not all superhero movies need to be dark and serious to be enjoyable.

4. Man of Steel

‘Man of Steel’ brings Superman back to the big screen with Henry Cavill in the lead role. The film explores his origins and the challenges of being an alien on Earth. Zack Snyder’s direction offers a visually stunning and action-packed movie. We appreciated the deeper look into Superman’s character and his struggle to find his place in the world. While it had a darker tone than previous Superman films, ‘Man of Steel’ set a strong foundation for the DCEU.

3. Wonder Woman

‘Wonder Woman’ takes us back to World War I, where Diana Prince steps into the world of men to stop a great evil. Gal Gadot’s performance as Wonder Woman is both powerful and inspiring. The film’s mix of action, history, and heart resonated with many of us. Directed by Patty Jenkins, it broke new ground for female-led superhero movies. ‘Wonder Woman’ stands out for its strong storytelling, memorable characters, and emotional depth.

2. Zack Snyder’s Justice League

‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ is the director’s cut of the 2017 film, offering a more complete and cohesive story. With a runtime of four hours, it delves deeper into the characters and their motivations. We were thrilled to see Snyder’s vision come to life, providing a richer and more satisfying experience. The film’s epic scale, improved visual effects, and extended scenes make it a standout in the DCEU. It’s a must-watch for fans of these iconic heroes.

1. Aquaman

‘Aquaman’ dives into the underwater world of Atlantis with Jason Momoa in the lead role. Directed by James Wan, the film is visually stunning, with vibrant underwater scenes and epic battles. We loved the mix of action, humor, and mythology. Momoa’s charismatic performance as Arthur Curry brings a new dimension to the character. The film’s success at the box office, grossing over $1 billion, shows how much we enjoyed this adventure. ‘Aquaman’ is a fun and thrilling journey that tops our list.
