These projects will bring us more adventures with Spider-Man and his many allies and enemies. Whether itโ€™s Tom Hollandโ€™s Peter Parker, Miles Morales, or iconic villains like Venom and Kraven, thereโ€™s a lot to look forward to. Letโ€™s dive into everything we know about the upcoming Spider-Man movies and TV shows.

Kraven The Hunter

Sonyโ€™s Spider-Man Universe will expand with Kraven the Hunter. Directed by J.C. Chandor, the movie will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven. The cast includes Russell Crowe as Kraven’s father, Ariana DeBose as Calypso, and Alessandro Nivola as Rhino. Kraven the Hunter is set to release on August 30, 2024. This film will mark Kraven’s big-screen debut, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson has hinted at a future crossover with Spider-Man, possibly adapting ‘Kraven’s Last Hunt’.

Venom: The Last Dance

Venom: The Last Dance will bring Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and the symbiote back for a third movie. Directed by Kelly Marcel, it continues from Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The official release date is October 25, 2024. This film is expected to connect directly to the events of the previous movies, with potential ties to the larger Spider-Verse. Tom Hardy has teased that the movie will continue exploring the Venom-verse and hinted at possible crossovers.

Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse follows the events of Across The Spider-Verse. The movie will continue Miles Morales’ journey, facing new multiverse challenges and the threat of The Spot. Directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson return to helm the project. Although the exact release date is not confirmed, the anticipation for this animated film remains high, promising more adventures with Miles, Gwen, and other Spider-Man variants.

El Muerto

El Muerto was an exciting addition to Sonyโ€™s Spider-Verse, but it has faced some setbacks. Initially, musician and actor Bad Bunny was set to play the title role. However, he parted ways with the project in September 2023. The movie, once slated for a January 2024 release, is now indefinitely shelved. El Muerto, a wrestler with superpowers from a magical mask, remains a fascinating character, and we hope to see this project revived in the future.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is in development, continuing the story after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal have confirmed they are working on the next installment. Holland has shared his enthusiasm but also expressed caution about ensuring the story justifies its continuation. With initial discussions already happening, this film is highly anticipated, although its release date is still to be announced.

The Sinister Six

The Sinister Six movie has been rumored for years and has faced numerous hurdles. Originally planned as a spin-off from The Amazing Spider-Man series, the project was shelved but later revived with interest in a new version. This version would include characters from Sonyโ€™s Spider-Man Universe like Venom, Morbius, and Kraven. There are no confirmed details yet, but the possibility of a villain team-up remains intriguing.

Spider-Women

Spider-Women is set to bring together three generations of female Spider-related characters: Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, Cindy Moon/Silk, and Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman. Initially planned as a movie, there are now speculations it might shift to a TV format. More details might emerge after the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. This project aims to explore the rich stories of these female superheroes in the Spider-Verse.

Untitled Olivia Wilde Spider-Man Universe Movie

Olivia Wilde is set to direct a female-centric Marvel movie for Sony, with her writing partner Katie Silberman. The project, believed to be focused on Spider-Woman, has been a high priority for the studio since 2020. While specific details are scarce, the anticipation remains strong. Fans are eager to see how Wilde will bring this character to life within the expanding Spider-Verse.

Live-Action Miles Morales Movie

A Live-Action Miles Morales Movie is finally in the works, confirmed by producer Amy Pascal. This exciting development follows the success of the animated Spider-Verse movies. While no specific details or release date have been announced, the prospect of seeing Miles Morales in a live-action format is highly anticipated. Pascal has promised that this project is happening, making it one of the most awaited entries in the Spider-Verse.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Disney+ will release Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in 2024. This animated series, originally announced as Spider-Man: Freshman Year, will explore Peter Parker’s early days as Spider-Man. Although it isnโ€™t a direct prequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, it exists in the same multiverse. This series will provide the origin story that Tom Hollandโ€™s Peter Parker never got in the MCU films, adding more depth to his character.

Silk: Spider-Society

Silk: Spider-Society is an upcoming series developed by Angela Kang for Amazon. The show will follow Cindy Moon, a character with spider-powers similar to Peter Parker. Sonyโ€™s Amy Pascal and Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are also involved. The series is a spin-off from the Spider-Verse movies, promising to expand the universe with new characters and stories.

Spider-Man Noir

Spider-Man Noir is another exciting project in development for Amazon. Announced in February 2023, this live-action series will be set in its own universe, separate from the MCU. Amy Pascal, along with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will produce the series. Although details on casting and plot are still under wraps, the unique, noir-style take on Spider-Man promises a fresh and intriguing addition to the Spider-Verse.
