Everything’s on the Line in ‘The Boys’ Final Showdown

Eric Kripke, the mastermind behind ‘The Boys,’ has dropped a major hint about season 5: absolutely no character is safe. Over the series, we’ve said goodbye to a number of key figures like Madelyn Stillwell in the first season, Hughie Campbell’s dad in season 4, and Victoria Neuman as of the last season finale.

So far, the core group of ‘The Boys,’ many of whom lack superpowers, have miraculously made it through all sorts of chaos. But now, Kripke warns that the safety net is gone, especially in this explosive final season.

In a chat with Games Radar, Kripke shared his excitement about the creative freedoms of wrapping up the series. He said, ‘It’s the thrill of the final season. You can really shake things up. There’s no need to save anyone for another season. That means we can throw in some big, shocking moments.’ It seems the writers are having a blast setting the stage for an unpredictable finale.

So, who might not make it through? The truth is, anyone could be on the chopping block. But we’re particularly worried about a few. Homelander and Billy Butcher top the list because, as long as Homelander is around, the world’s not safe. Butcher’s time is running out too, and their mutual hatred might just lead to a deadly climax for both.

Then there’s Sister Sage, whose brains and plans have put Homelander in a terrifying position of power. If she survives, the threat she poses will still be there. It would be just if The Deep, Firecracker, and Soldier Boy, all of whom have crossed many lines, met their ends in less than heroic ways.

We also can’t ignore the potential heartbreak of losing fan favorites like Mother’s Milk, Frenchie, Kimiko, Hughie, and Starlight. Any of their deaths would hit hard. And A-Train, after turning things around in season 4, might just end his run with a heroic act.

Adding more intrigue, Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy, has been made a series regular for season 5. This signals we might see a lot more of him, for better or worse.

Get ready, because if one thing’s for sure, season 5 of ‘The Boys’ is going to be a bloodbath. We’re in for a season where literally anything could happen, and I’m both excited and scared to see who makes it out alive.
