The production of James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ is underway, and the latest set photos from Cleveland are stoking fan excitement. These photos provide a more in-depth peek into the urban landscape of Metropolis, serving as the backdrop for the film’s action-packed scenes.

One standout image has given us our first look at Superman, featuring David Corenswet donning the iconic cape with the classic yellow ‘S’ logo—a direct nod to the comic books. Additionally, we also got a comic-accurate glimpse of Mr. Terrific, portrayed by Edi Gathegi, complete with his signature costume.

The set also reveals new characters, including Paige Mobley, potentially portraying a TV presenter amidst the chaos of Metropolis. Another intriguing photo captures a group of individuals clad in black, handcuffed, raising questions about their origins—whether they’ve emerged from an alien vessel or are part of a dramatic prisoner exchange.

A possible first sighting of Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane adds another layer of excitement, although confirmation might still be needed as the images aren’t crystal clear. She appears in a video, dressed in purple, and bears a striking resemblance to the ‘Marvellous Mrs. Maisel’ star.

While earlier photos provided early looks at characters like María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, the latest images delve deeper into the plot and character dynamics. The cast is rounded out by notable names including Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, with Anthony Carrigan, Sara Sampaio, Wendell Pierce, and possibly Milly Alcock joining the ensemble.

Gunn has expressed his enthusiasm for the project, coincidentally kicking off filming on Superman’s birthday. Originally titled ‘Superman: Legacy’, the final draft simply bears the name ‘SUPERMAN’, with a planned release in July 2025.

As filming progresses, the anticipation builds to see how these characters, especially the ‘super friends’, will weave into Superman’s dual existence as both Clark Kent and the Man of Steel. The set photos have certainly set the stage for what could be a memorable addition to the Superman saga.
