Exciting Update on ‘Invincible’ Season 3’s Release!
There’s good news for those of us eagerly waiting for ‘Invincible’ Season 3. Robert Kirkman, the show’s creator, hinted that we’ll know the release date in 2024. He admitted that the long break between the first two seasons wasn’t ideal, and thankfully, it looks like we won’t have to endure such a wait this time.
Simon Racioppa, the showrunner, assured in an interview with The Direct that the delay for the upcoming season won’t mirror the lengthy gap experienced previously. Fred Tatasciore, who lends his voice to the series, also chimed in, promising that the wait won’t be long.
At GalaxyCon in Oklahoma City, Ross Marquand, one of the stars, suggested that early 2025 seems like a probable release period for the new season. This hints that while the wait continues, the gap might be shorter than before.
The production process for animated shows like ‘Invincible’ is quite demanding, which explains the previous delays. Kirkman explained that securing back-to-back season renewals from Amazon allows their team to plan better and work on several seasons simultaneously. This not only speeds up production but also helps in delivering the seasons to us more swiftly.
Adding to the excitement, Kirkman mentioned at San Diego Comic-Con that Amazon’s commitment to the show remains strong, as evidenced by the quick succession of seasons being announced and produced. This approach significantly reduces the production timelines.
The next big chance for an update might be at New York Comic-Con this October, a venue where the show has historically made significant announcements. While itโs not set in stone, it’s a good bet that more concrete details will be revealed then.
As for the content of the upcoming season, itโs going to get darker, as per Tatasciore. Plus, fans can look forward to seeing Invincible in his new blue and black outfit. Another interesting development is the larger role expected for Nolan’s other son, Oliver Grayson, who is now on Earth with Mark and his mother.
So, while we might have to be a bit more patient, it sounds like things are moving along well behind the scenes, and the wait for Season 3 will be worth it. The team’s efforts to streamline production and the ongoing support from Amazon suggest we can expect great things. Stay tuned, as more updates are likely just around the corner.
