Fans Want ‘Supernatural’ Star for the Next Nightwing in the DCU

Drake Rodger, known for his role in ‘The Winchesters,’ has been depicted as Nightwing in a new piece of fan art. This art was shared by the artist @jobhutz on Twitter, showing Rodger in the iconic black and blue Nightwing suit. The actor has expressed his enthusiasm for the depiction, stating ‘I love it!’ and has been preparing for the possibility of playing this role by training with Nightwing’s escrima sticks for three years.

Rodger previously portrayed a young John Winchester in ‘The Winchesters,’ whose sons Sam and Dean Winchester were central to ‘The Supernatural’ series. Notably, Jensen Ackles, who played Dean, is also favored by many of us as the ideal Batman for the DC Universe (DCU).

Nightwing, or Dick Grayson, is a vital character in the DC comics, currently leading the Titans. This group has stepped up to take on the Justice League’s role as the primary defenders of the DC universe, despite some complications from Amanda Waller.

With James Gunn hinting at Nightwing’s introduction to the DCU and the inclusion of the Bat-Family in the upcoming Batman movie ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ Rodger might soon get the chance to audition for his dream role. Nightwing is expected to be a major character in the DCU, potentially mirroring the impact Tom Holland’s Spider-Man had on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Apart from ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ a Teen Titans movie is also in the works where Nightwing could make an appearance. Given that Dick Grayson is the most recognized leader of the Teen Titans, he could be shown in flashbacks from his days as Robin and also as Nightwing in the present.

Since neither ‘The Brave and the Bold’ nor ‘Teen Titans’ have set release dates, it’s a race to see which one will feature Nightwing first. If it’s up to us, seeing Drake Rodger bring Nightwing to life would be a dream come true for many fans, including me.
