Finn Wolfhard made his hosting debut on ‘Saturday Night Live’. The actor’s monologue centered on experiences growing up on camera through his role as Mike Wheeler in ‘Stranger Things’. Former child stars from the series reunited unexpectedly during the segment.

Wolfhard recounted milestones like his voice changing and first on-screen kiss. He included a comedic reference to learning female anatomy, followed by a cutaway to the show’s Demogorgon monster howling. The host also demonstrated distaste for alcohol by spitting a drink onto cast member Marcello Hernรกndez.

Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo then joined Wolfhard onstage. The trio addressed the challenges of maturing under public scrutiny. They referenced online discussions about their evolving appearances and bodies.

The actors joked about now being adults ready to appear in adult films. A subsequent sketch imagined ‘Stranger Things’ spinoff concepts. One depicted the male leads in a ‘Sex and the City’-style series titled ‘Mike in Manhattan’.

Additional spinoff ideas featured Nancy Wheeler hosting a news program. Another placed Steve Harrington as an inner-city teacher. The sketch nodded to fan theories about a rumored ninth episode.

A separate parody targeted the upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ television series. Retitled ‘Heated Wizardry’, the segment portrayed Wolfhard’s Harry developing a romantic interest in Ron Weasley. It incorporated wand and broom-related innuendos.

Jason Momoa guest-appeared as Hagrid. The sketch included scenes of naked Quidditch and adult-themed Hogwarts interactions. Cast members portrayed Severus Snape, Professor McGonagall, and Alastor Moody.

The parody claimed to be the first scripted entirely by female writers who wear tails. Wolfhard led multiple segments throughout the episode. The broadcast marked his transition to solo hosting duties beyond ensemble work.
