Genshin Impact Unveils New Zone and Characters in Version 5.2 Livestream
Gabe and Kai from the English localization team returned to host the livestream unveiling Genshin Impact Version 5.2, which promises exciting new explorations in Ochkanatlan.
This version brings fresh elements to the game, including two novel characters and a never-before-seen area in Natlan.
In Version 5.2, players will encounter two new tribes and can expect to delve into another chapter of the Archon Quest.
The update will feature the debut of Chasca and Ororon, enhancing gameplay with their unique abilities.
Chasca, an Anemo hypercarry, can adapt her elemental damage based on her team’s composition, offering dynamic combat flexibility.
Ororon, an Electro-Charged support character, introduces taunt capabilities and a special mechanic that allows him to gather Nightsoul points even when he’s not active in battle.
The exploration of Natlan expands to include the lands of the Flowerfeather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind. Adventurers will navigate the challenges around the Cinder City using new types of Saurians.
The Qucusaurus, paired with Chasca, will enable players to take to the skies with Phlogiston, while the Iktomisaurus will enhance Elemental Sight when teamed with Ororon.
Surprisingly, Version 5.2 also continues the Archon Quest with an engaging story involving Iansan and Capitano, the latter remaining a pivotal figure in Natlan’s unfolding story.
While fans may be excited about Capitano’s role, he remains a non-playable character for now. The Flagship Event will spotlight Ororon and Citlali in the Masters of the Night-Wind’s main settlement.
Looking ahead, Citlali’s arrival as a playable character is set for Version 5.3, slated for release not before January 2025, where she will appear alongside Mavuika. The update also promises several quality-of-life enhancements, including a new auto-lock feature for Artifacts.
Mark your calendars for November 20, 2024, as Version 5.2 not only launches on PC and mobile but also makes its way to the Xbox Series S and X, expanding the game’s reach to more players.
