A new concept trailer has surfaced, exciting DC fans by uniting two iconic characters, Superman and Black Adam, in a cinematic showdown. This imaginative trailer comes after a tantalizing post-credits scene in the ‘Black Adam’ movie, where Dwayne Johnson debuted as the formidable foe of Shazam almost two years ago.

Originally, plans hinted at a future conflict between Henry Cavill’s Superman and Johnson’s Black Adam, but they were set aside as Warner Bros. Discovery shifted focus to redefine their DC universe in film and television.

The trailer, created by Screen Culture, cleverly uses scenes from ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ substituting Ben Affleck’s Batman with Black Adam. It picks up right after the teased meeting in the Black Adam movie, showcasing an intense face-off between Superman and the protector of Kahndaq.

Despite the end of the DCEU, DC Studios is concentrating on crafting a new expansive universe across TV, film, and games. However, they continue to explore their Elseworlds brand, which includes projects like Todd Phillips’ ongoing Joker universe and Matt Reeves’ expanding Batman universe.

This strategy keeps the door open for a potential standalone Black Adam vs. Superman movie in the Elseworlds series. Once DC concludes its ‘Gods and Monsters’ phase, revisiting the earlier DCEU timeline for such a one-off movie could be feasible.

Whether Cavill and Johnson would reprise their iconic roles remains uncertain as both actors have ventured into new projects. However, the right circumstances might bring them back for this epic battle.
