‘Heroes’ Makes a Comeback with New Sequel Series

The TV show Heroes is making a big return. According to Deadline, a sequel series called Heroes: Eclipsed is in the works. It’s been a while since we’ve seen something new from the Heroes universe, and it’s exciting to hear that the original creator, Tim Kring, is steering the ship again. The announcement feels timely, coming just after a solar eclipse, which reminds us of how important those were in the original show.

Heroes: Eclipsed will pick up years after the last events we remember, focusing on a new set of ‘evos’ discovering their powers. These powers are going to turn their lives upside down. We’re going to see some of the bad guys we loved to hate, plus a bunch of new faces that our emerging heroes will have to deal with. It sounds like it’s shaping up to be an ongoing series, not just a one-off, which means we could be getting a lot more Heroes action than we first thought.

Now, if you were a fan of Heroes Reborn, the 2015 spinoff, you’ll remember how it brought back some familiar faces alongside new ones. We had Noah Bennet leading the way as the cast tackled a fresh set of superhuman challenges. It’s still up in the air which characters from the original series or Heroes Reborn might pop up in Heroes: Eclipsed. But the potential for surprise guest appearances is definitely something to get excited about.

Remember the original Heroes? It kicked off in 2006 and introduced us to people like Peter Petrelli, Claire Bennet, Hiro Nakamura, and many others who discovered they had superhuman abilities. They used these powers to try and prevent disasters, and it was quite the ride watching them figure it all out.

According to TV Insider, Tim Kring has been itching to get more Heroes out there since Heroes Reborn wrapped up. He’s always had a plan for where the story could go next, and it looks like we’re about to see that plan in action.

While we’re waiting on a premiere date for Heroes: Eclipsed, it’s hard not to get caught up in the excitement. It’s like meeting up with old friends to see what they’ve been up to. Here’s hoping the new series captures some of the magic that made us fall in love with Heroes in the first place.
