‘Ironheart’ Trailer Leaked at D23 Expo

Disney’s D23 Expo was buzzing with excitement, but not all surprises were planned. The first trailer for Marvel Studios’ new series ‘Ironheart’ found its way onto the internet, sparking a wave of excitement among us. ‘Ironheart’ introduces us to Riri Williams, a brilliant young inventor from Chicago who attends MIT. Portrayed by Dominique Thorne, Riri creates a suit of armor that rivals Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit. The series is set to bring this character back to the small screen after her debut in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.

Joining Thorne in the cast are Anthony Ramos and Alden Ehrenreich, along with Lyric Ross, Matthew Elam, Manny Montana, Anji White, and Shea Couleé. Each actor brings a unique character to life, adding layers to the storyline centered around themes of innovation and community.

The plot kicks off with Riri returning to Chicago only to stumble upon mysterious threats that launch her and her allies into a world of adventure and danger. Ramos steps into the shoes of Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood, a character with the ability to harness dark magic, aiming to protect and elevate fellow misfits.

With Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes directing, the series promises a fresh and exciting take on the superhero genre. Filming took place across various locations, starting at Trilith Studios in Atlanta and later moving to Chicago.

Scheduled for a 2025 release on Disney+, ‘Ironheart’ will consist of six episodes and is part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This addition aims to continue the legacy of intricate storytelling and character development that the MCU is known for.
