Is Captain Marvel Returning to the Avengers? Here’s What Brie Larson Said!
Recently, Brie Larson hinted at more appearances for her character, Captain Marvel, but she kept details about the upcoming ‘Avengers’ films under wraps. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the buzz around Marvel Studios was unmissable, especially during the Hall H panel. Although ‘The Marvels’ didn’t perform as expected at the box office, Larson’s role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) seems secure and pivotal for future projects.
During a chat on The Playlistโs Bingeworthy podcast, Larson shared some insights while discussing her series ‘Lessons in Chemistry’. Interestingly, she was taken aback by Robert Downey, Jr.โs surprise appearance at the event, admitting she had no prior knowledge of it. She recounted a conversation with Kevin Feige, Marvel’s chief, who only mentioned a ‘thing at Comic-Con’ without specifics.
Larson expressed her fondness for working with the team from ‘The Marvels’ and touched on the idea that no single superhero can avert disaster aloneโit requires a collective effort. This teamwork resonates deeply with her, reflecting her current life phase.
When prodded about whether her future in the MCU involves the new ‘Avengers’ films ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’, Larson cleverly avoided giving a direct answer. She stated she couldnโt reveal anything, adding intrigue to her future involvement in the franchise.
We can pretty much guess that Larson will appear in one or both of the new ‘Avengers’ films. Given her impactful role during the ‘Endgame’ era despite being a newcomer, itโs likely she’ll have an even more significant presence in the MCU moving forward.
Until official confirmations are made, all we can do is speculate and enjoy Larson’s work in ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ available on Apple TV+.
