James McAvoy Thinks X-Men vs MCU Avengers Would be Finished in Minutes

James McAvoy, known for his role as Charles Xavier or Professor X in the X-Men series, recently shared his thoughts on a hypothetical matchup between the X-Men and the Avengers. The discussion has resurfaced due to the crossover hints in the latest MCU movie, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’.

McAvoy first took on the role of Professor X in 2011 with ‘X-Men: First Class’ and has been a central figure in several sequels, including the highly praised ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. During a promotional interview for the latter, he discussed the potential face-off with MTV. He confidently stated that the mutants would overpower the Avengers with ease.

He pointed out the original six Avengers’ vulnerability compared to the diverse abilities of the X-Men. His strategy for defeating Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., was straightforward: ‘One of them is half-man, half-robot. You just turn off the power and he’s done.’ He also humorously suggested using Professor X’s mind-control abilities to make the Avengers undress, saying, ‘I could be like take your clothes off and they’d all be taking their clothes off.’
