‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Trailer Reveals a New Twist on the Iconic Villain

The DCU is gearing up for a big reveal, but before that happens, we’re getting a special treat from Matt Reeves’ Elseworlds series. ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is on its way, a sequel to the hit 2019 movie ‘Joker’. Joaquin Phoenix is back as the Joker, and this time, Lady Gaga is joining him as Harley Quinn.

In the movie, Arthur Fleck, better known as the Joker, ends up in Arkham State Hospital after a shocking live TV incident where he killed Murray Franklin. At the hospital, he meets Harleen Quinzel. The two fall in love and are swept into a world of musical fantasies. Meanwhile, the Joker’s fans are stirring up trouble outside, trying to free him and help him build his criminal kingdom.

The latest trailer for ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ just came out, and it promises to show us sides of the Joker we’ve never seen before. This film is shaping up to be both strange and memorable.

Set in and around Arkham Asylum, the movie is billed as a drama, although the full story details are still under wraps. Alongside Phoenix and Gaga, the film features actors Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, and Brendan Gleeson. The screenplay is a collaboration between Todd Phillips and Scott Silver.
