Despite the mixed reviews of recent films, Kevin Feige is not ready to move on from Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. According to recent updates, Larson is set to reprise her role as Carol Danvers in the upcoming Avengers 5, scheduled for release on May 1, 2026. This news hints at Marvel’s commitment to one of its most dynamic characters, despite the setbacks faced by her last standalone film, ‘The Marvels’, which didn’t perform as expected at the box office.

Avengers 5 isn’t just bringing back Larson; Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes (also known as the Winter Soldier) are also rumored to return. This trio of heroes from ‘Avengers: Endgame’ adds a layer of excitement for fans anticipating the new ensemble cast.
