Luke Skywalker Confronts a New Dark Menace in Marvel’s Latest Star Wars Saga

The Star Wars universe continues to expand with Marvel’s new comic series, ‘Battle of Jakku – Insurgency Rising.’ Set between the original and sequel trilogies, this series unfolds in the wake of the Battle of Endor.

Despite the destruction of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, the Empire’s sinister forces linger, driven by dark schemes laid before the Emperor’s death.

Admiral Gallius Rax steps into the chaos, activating Operation: Cinder to fulfill Palpatine’s last wishes and burn the Empire down if he perished.

Meanwhile, Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard has sealed off the Anoat sector, falsely declaring the Empire’s triumph over the Rebels at Endor.

On the quieter side, Luke Skywalker visits Pillio to retrieve an ancient compass from one of Palpatine’s observatories, guided by the Force.

This compass is destined to lead him to key locations in his later life, such as Ossus and Ahch-To.

In the midst of these events, Leia Organa and Mon Mothma are strategically placing spies to infiltrate the Empire’s strongholds.

Their team includes a diverse group: Rynn Zenat, a B-wing pilot, Jarek Yeager, a mechanic, Therisa Alern, an intel operator, and Kes Dameron, whose son Poe will one day become a pivotal figure in the Resistance.

Their mission takes a perilous turn when they’re captured by the Empire. Just as hope seems lost, they are freed by Alern’s secret ally within the Imperial ranks.

But their escape is cut short by a new, menacing figure—a cloaked Inquisitor wielding a red lightsaber, ready to demonstrate the dark side’s devastating power.

This new Inquisitor remains a mystery. With many former Inquisitors having met grim fates in various skirmishes and battles across the galaxy, the emergence of a new dark force user poses fresh threats to the fragile peace efforts.

Skywalker senses the danger and rushes to confront this new adversary, his signature green lightsaber in hand.

As ‘Battle of Jakku – Insurgency Rising #3‘ hits the shelves, fans eagerly await the concluding chapters of this gripping trilogy, which promises to bridge gaps and set the stage for the known events of the sequel trilogy.

The story will continue in ‘Star Wars: Battle of Jakku — Republic Under Siege’ and conclude with ‘Star Wars: Battle of Jakku — Last Stand.’
