Marvel Developing New Series About Scarlet Witch’s Son
There’s some exciting news coming from the Marvel universe, and if you enjoyed WandaVision and Agatha All Along, you might want to keep an eye on this. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is reportedly working on a brand-new Disney+ series that will focus on Thomas Shepherd, also known as Speed. For those of us who remember, Speed is one of Scarlet Witch’s twin sons, but he didn’t get much time to shine in previous shows.
The series is said to be a direct sequel to WandaVision and Agatha All Along, which means we’re likely to dive deeper into the aftermath of what went down with Wanda and Agatha Harkness. This new project seems like it’s going to focus on finding Speed, setting up a whole new adventure for Scarlet Witch’s other son. With everything that happened in WandaVision, it’s no surprise that Speed could become a key player in the MCU.
What’s especially interesting is that this could be part of a bigger plan Marvel has in mind. Speed, along with his brother Billy (a.k.a. Wiccan), has long been speculated to join the Young Avengers. And while this series hasn’t been officially confirmed, the rumors coming from someone as well-known as Daniel Richtman are hard to ignore. If Speed is truly the focus of this series, it could also give us more insight into Wanda’s role moving forward.
There’s still a lot we don’t know about this project, but one thing’s for sure—Marvel seems to be digging deeper into the stories of some of its younger, more mysterious characters. And with Speed being as fast as he is, the pace of this story could definitely pick up in a way that keeps us all hooked.
We’ll have to wait and see if this rumor turns out to be true, but I’d say this is something that could take WandaVision fans by surprise.
