Marvel Unveils R-Rated Series That Kills Off Beloved MCU Characters
Marvel has just dropped a teaser trailer for its new R-rated series set in the MCU, where fan favorites meet their demise in shocking twists.
The teaser, part of the ‘Looking Ahead’ trailer, was released to give fans a glimpse of what’s coming to Disney Plus next year, including ‘Ironheart’ and ‘Daredevil: Reborn.’
This reveal comes alongside news of upcoming MCU films like ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ With the Multiverse Saga gearing up, excitement is building for both the series and movies slated for release.
The teaser includes scenes from ‘Marvel Zombies,’ an animated series drawing from the ‘What… If?’ series. It shows a mix of living and undead Avengers preparing for battle in Wakanda.
Heroes like Blade, now as Moon Knight, join forces with the Thunderbolts and Black Widow to fight zombified versions of Steve Rogers’ Captain America, Okoye, and potentially Bucky’s Winter Soldier.
The concept for ‘Marvel Zombies’ comes from creators Robert Kirkman, Mark Miller, and Greg Land, known for their work on ‘The Walking Dead.’ While no official release date has been set, rumors hint at an October 2025 debut.
In the more immediate timeline, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2024, with ‘Thunderbolts’ following on May 2, 2025.
If you haven’t yet seen the ‘What… If?’ series, I highly recommend it for a taste of what’s to come with ‘Marvel Zombies.’
