It looks like the secret’s out! In Marvel Television’s new show, ‘Agatha All Along,’ Joe Locke is playing Billy Kaplan, also known as Billy Maximoff or Wiccan. This was somewhat of an open secret among comic book fans, but now it’s officially confirmed through the subtitles in the international trailer where Locke is listed simply as ‘Billy.’

Fans speculated about Locke’s role, and now with the trailer hinting at his character’s name, the excitement is building up. The character has been mysteriously labeled as ‘Teen’ in promotions, which might be an attempt by the show to maintain a sense of mystery, much like what was seen with ‘WandaVision.’

Locke himself spoke about the high level of secrecy during a press event. He mentioned that keeping secrets was part of the thrill of working with Marvel. According to him, revealing too much would spoil the story’s impact. “The secrets are secrets for a reason, and Teen’s backstory is an interesting one. If I was able to talk about it now, it would ruin the whole point of the show, and that is what keeps me being able to keep a secret. Otherwise, I’d just tell you everything,” he said.

‘Teen’ aka Billy’s journey is central to the plot of ‘Agatha All Along.’ It seems he’s eager to explore the Witches’ Road to search for his mother, Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch.

The series also brings back Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, alongside a star-studded cast including Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza.

The story picks up with Agatha Harkness, now powerless and under a spell, until a mysterious goth ‘Teen’ helps free her. Intrigued, Agatha agrees to guide him through the magical and perilous Witches’ Road. Together, they form a desperate coven and embark on a journey filled with trials.

Directors Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Monteiro, along with head writer and director Jac Schaeffer, are set to bring this captivating story to life. The show’s first two episodes premiere on Disney+ on September 18 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, promising an exciting blend of magic and mystery.

With Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and Mary Livanos as executive producers, the series is poised to be another hit for Marvel, blending enchantment with the signature Marvel action. So, mark your calendars and prepare for a thrilling ride with ‘Agatha All Along.’
