This speculation is supported by hints such as the potential purchase of the Avengers Tower by Valentina. Alternatively, the team could represent the ‘Secret Avengers,’ a covert group formed during the ‘Heroic Age’ comics series. This group was a black ops team led by Steve Rogers that operated discreetly, similar to the rogue activities of Captain America and his allies in the MCU post-‘Civil War.’

David Harbour added to the intrigue in a recent interview with ComicBook, noting the retroactive addition of the asterisk and expressing his excitement for the audience to discover its significance, which he hinted was ‘very cool.’ However, he remained tight-lipped about further details.
