My Hero Academia Extends Its Farewell with an Extra-Loaded Final Volume

It’s a bittersweet time for fans of My Hero Academia as the manga wraps up. Kohei Horikoshi, the creator, has crafted an emotional epilogue that captivated readers worldwide.

This series, known for its depth and excitement, is not quite finished impressing us. An update from Japan reveals that the final volume, due out this December, will pack in at least 50 pages of bonus material.

Volume 42 of My Hero Academia is set to be a hefty one with 184 pages, dwarfing the typical 120 pages seen in most volumes.

This expansion is a ‘PLUS ULTRA’ send-off for the beloved manga, including between 50-60 additional pages.

This volume will not only offer sketches and character profiles but might also include fresh story content to fill in some lingering gaps, especially considering the series’ 10-year impactful run.

The finale itself, while thorough, left some desires unmet. The manga’s quick pace through a timeskip left many wondering about Deku’s final years at U.A. High School.

Although the conclusion revisited his dream with key characters like Bakugo and the Todoroki family at his side, the mystery of Deku’s father remains untouched.

While the series had a fitting end, if Horikoshi chooses to expand the finale, we’re all for exploring more about our favorite heroes.

My Hero Academia has earned every page of its grand finale, and an extended volume 42 is just what we need to properly close this chapter.
