Natalie Portman Open to Returning as Jane in the MCU
Natalie Portman, known for her role as Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder, expressed her openness to rejoining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the movie, her character transformed into the Mighty Thor and met a heroic end. However, a scene after the credits suggested her story might continue in the mythical Valhalla, where she was welcomed by Heimdall, played by Idris Elba.
In a recent chat with Total Film, which will be published on Thursday, June 20, Portman shared her thoughts on possibly returning to the MCU. She said, ‘I have no idea if they want me back. No one’s mentioned it yet, but sure, that was super fun.’ Her words leave the door open for future appearances.
Portman enjoyed her time on the set of Love and Thunder, especially working alongside Chris Hemsworth, Taika Waititi, and Tessa Thompson. She found the experience delightful, filled with laughter and great company. She also loved filming in Australia, praising its beauty and the joy it added to her experience.
As we wait to see if Portman will wield Mjolnir once again, Marvel fans are gearing up for the upcoming releases featuring Deadpool and Wolverine. These are set to hit theaters in the UK on July 25 and in the US on July 26. Portmanโs future in the MCU remains uncertain, but it’s clear she cherished her time as part of the Thor saga. Whether she returns or not, her role as the Mighty Thor has left a lasting impression on us all.
