New ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer Reveals Sabretooth First Look

Marvel Studios just dropped a new teaser for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, clocking in at just one minute, but packed with excitement. This latest glimpse gives us our first look at Sabretooth in the upcoming film. Shared by Ryan Reynolds on social media, he quipped that the movie’s title is already too crowded for another ‘and’.

The teaser sets an intriguing scene in a desolate wasteland, showing a dilapidated 20th Century Fox logo, hinting at a battle set outside the normal flow of time. This could mean that the Time Variance Authority is involved, as their presence is hinted at throughout the movie.

Tyler Mane is back as Sabretooth, a role he first embodied in the original X-Men film. Although Liev Schreiber took over the role for ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’, Mane has stayed active in superhero roles, appearing in series like ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ and ‘Doom Patrol’.

In comic lore, Sabretooth is known as Wolverine’s arch-nemesis. They share similar powers, including regenerative healing and retractable claws, which fueled rumors that Sabretooth might be Wolverine’s father. Chris Claremont, who co-created Sabretooth, entertained this idea during his time writing for X-Men but never made it official. Since his first appearance in ‘Iron Fist #14’ in 1977, Sabretooth has been a staple villain in the X-Men universe, particularly from the mid-1980s onwards as part of the Marauders group.

This teaser promises plenty of action and possibly some time-bending twists with the involvement of the Time Variance Authority. We can’t wait to see how these characters clash on the big screen once again.
