David Dastmalchian, fresh off his performance in ‘Late Night with the Devil,’ and Ashley Greene, known for her role in ‘Twilight,’ are set to appear in the new sci-fi horror movie ‘The Cure,’ according to Deadline.

They’ll be joined by rising star Samantha Cochran in a story that delves into the chilling world of biotechnology and corporate greed.

Directed by Nancy Leopardi and scripted by Jonathan Bernstein along with James Greer, who previously worked on ‘Unsane,’ ‘The Cure’ explores the life of Ally Braun.

Portrayed by Cochran, Ally is a 16-year-old adoptee battling a mysterious illness. She soon uncovers that her biological parents, played by Dastmalchian and Greene, are not the benevolent guardians they seem. Instead, they are using her in a sinister plot involving her blood.

Leopardi has described the film as a mix of satire and horror that comments on the ethics of the billionaire class and biotechnological advancements.

She believes ‘The Cure’ aligns with genre classics like ‘Ex-Machina’ and ‘Videodrome,’ which reflect societal and technological anxieties.

The movie also features talents such as Sydney Taylor from ‘American Born Chinese,’ Tyler Lawrence Gray seen in ‘Wolfpack,’ and Dylan Flashner known from ‘Running on Empty.’ The ensemble cast promises to bring this thrilling narrative to life.

Production for ‘The Cure’ has concluded, with John Ierardi and Bo Youngblood of Showdown Productions teaming up with Indy Entertainment, Natalie Marciano, and Rock Jacobs of Rebel Entertainment to bring this captivating story to the screen.
