Pom Klementieff Hints at a New Super Role in the DCU After Marvel Success

Pom Klementieff, known for her role as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, might be switching over to the DC Universe soon. She dropped this exciting hint while speaking at a comic con event in San Antonio. The actress shared that she has been in discussions with James Gunn, the co-CEO of DC Studios, about a potential role in the DCU. They have collaborated before on the 2017 movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ and seem eager to work together again.

During the event, when asked about the specific character she might play, Klementieff playfully dodged the question. She expressed her keen interest in continuing her work with Gunn and confirmed they are exploring different characters. However, she remained tight-lipped about the details.

Klementieff’s journey with Marvel has been significant, having starred not only in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ but also in major hits like ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘Avengers: Endgame’, and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’. Her dream was always to be part of a Marvel movie, and now that she’s fulfilled that, it seems she’s setting her sights on new adventures.

Interestingly, Klementieff made a cameo in Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ in 2021, marking her first, albeit brief, appearance in the DCU. This move sparked rumors about her potential involvement in future DC projects. As Gunn and Peter Safran took the reins at DC Studios in 2022, they’ve been quite open about casting actors from the MCU. Gunn has even teased the possibility of a crossover between Marvel and DC comics, though he admits it’s a long way off.

James Gunn is currently directing ‘Superman: Legacy’, aiming to launch a new chapter for the DC multiverse. While there’s no confirmation yet, the anticipation about Klementieff joining the DCU adds an exciting layer to what’s coming next. We can’t wait to see if she’ll bring a new character to life under Gunn’s direction.
