Potential ‘X-Men’ Reboot Writers Revealed
Marvel Studios is on the hunt for a writer to kickstart the reboot of the X-Men series. Recently, Jeff Sneider shared that Rafe Judkins and Michael Lesslie are leading candidates. While it’s not clear if they are the only ones being considered, we expect a final decision by Memorial Day weekend.
Rafe Judkins has worked on several notable projects. He was a supervising producer for Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and led Amazon’s ‘The Wheel of Time.’ He’s also involved with the upcoming ‘God of War’ series and co-wrote Sony’s ‘Uncharted’ movie.
On the other hand, Michael Lesslie has been busy too, co-writing ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ and ‘Now You See Me 3.’ He was also in the running to lead the new Harry Potter TV series at Warner Bros.

We’re all curious about when the X-Men will officially appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The good news is that they’re hinted to show up pretty soon. This year, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will feature Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, which might give us a taste of what’s to come. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has expressed his excitement about the X-Men, promising that their arrival is not far off.
Separately, the animated series ‘X-Men ’97’ on Disney+ is wrapping up its first season. While it’s not set in the MCU, it connects to the broader Marvel universe. Jake Castorena, the supervising director, mentioned that the series aims to be a spiritual successor to the original ‘X-Men: The Animated Series,’ incorporating cameos and expanding on the X-Men universe.
As for the X-Men reboot, we still don’t have a release date, but with the search for a writer progressing, things are moving forward. It’s exciting to think about what new adventures await the X-Men in the MCU.
