Ralph Ineson Joins Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’ as Galactus

Ralph Ineson is set to bring the colossal villain Galactus to life in Marvel’s upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’. This casting choice has us excited as Ineson will embody the planet-consuming entity in the movie, set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.

Ineson is known for his work in ‘The Witch’ and ‘The First Omen’. He’s no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Universe either; you might remember him as a ravager pilot in 2014’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. His recent roles include a significant part in Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ and a starring role in the upcoming ‘Nosferatu’ with Nicholas Hoult and Willem Dafoe.

Joining Ineson are Pedro Pascal, playing the leader Reed Richards, and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm. Joseph Quinn will set screens ablaze as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will transform into Ben Grimm. The cast also includes Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal, a unique take on the Silver Surfer, with John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser in roles yet to be revealed.

Set in the 1960s, the era the comic book first appeared, this film promises a fresh take under the direction of Matt Shakman, who earned his stripes with ‘WandaVision’. The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer, with additional input from ‘WandaVision’s Peter Cameron.

Galactus is more than just a bad guy; he’s a force of nature, vital for the balance of the cosmos, similar to an apex predator in the wild. His powers are immense, and he’s often been a reluctant ally to the heroes of the Marvel universe. His introduction to the MCU might even tie into the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ due to his connection with the Ultimate Nullifier, the only weapon that can defeat him.

This project is shaping up to be a thrilling addition to the MCU, bringing back the classic Fantastic Four into the fold with a stellar cast and a promising director. We can’t wait to see how Ineson’s Galactus will challenge not just the Fantastic Four but the entire Marvel universe.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed this cast update, adding to the anticipation among us Marvel fans.
