‘Rurouni Kenshin’ Anime Gets Second Season This October!

Rurouni Kenshin

Big news for us anime enthusiasts – the much-loved Rurouni Kenshin is making a comeback with its second season this October. Set to air on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block, the new chapters promise to keep us hooked for a continuous half year, spanning two cours.

The journey kicked off last July, taking us through a thrilling ride that just concluded its first season. If you missed out, Crunchyroll’s got you covered with both the original and an English dubbed version.

What’s special this time? The series revisits the iconic manga, bringing our favorite characters back to life. Kenshin Himura returns with Sōma Saitō’s voice, alongside Rie Takahashi as Kaoru Kamiya. The squad wouldn’t be complete without Taku Yashiro’s Sanosuke Sagara, Makoto Koichi’s Yahiko Myojin, Yūma Uchida’s Shinomori Aoshi, Saori Ōnishi’s Megumi Takani, and Satoshi Hino as Hajime Saitō.

Behind the scenes, Hideyo Yamamoto takes the director’s chair, bringing his unique vision to the series. LIDEN FILMS is the magic factory where all this comes together, with Terumi Nishii’s character designs and Hideyuki Kurata’s storytelling prowess. Yū Takami sets the tone with his musical compositions.

A bit of a throwback – Nobuhiro Watsuki, the genius behind the manga, along with Kaoru Kurosaki, launched the Hokkaido Arc back in 2017. Despite a brief pause, the manga made a strong return in 2018, continuing the legacy.

Rurouni Kenshin isn’t just a manga. It’s a phenomenon that has inspired a 95-episode TV series, movies, OVAs, and even live-action films. The story of Kenshin Himura, a warrior in search of peace, resonates with many of us.

So mark your calendars and get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions, action, and breathtaking storytelling this October. It’s not just a return; it’s a revival of a saga that has captivated hearts worldwide.
