‘Sk8 the Infinity Extra Part’ OVA Teaser Video Just Dropped

A new original video anime (OVA) titled ‘Sk8 the Infinity Extra Part’ is making waves in the anime community.

Revealed by the official Sk8 the Infinity, this latest addition brings fresh excitement with a teaser promo video that dropped last Saturday.

Set to premiere in a limited theatrical run starting January 24 across ten theaters in Japan, the 25-minute OVA promises to extend the thrill with additional content.

Fans can expect a special first season compilation video and a cast commentary, bringing the total runtime in theaters to 60 minutes.

The forthcoming OVA boasts four episodes with intriguing titles: ‘Ame to Neko Conbini Ice Soda Aji,’ ‘Maji de Maji ni Nareru Koto,’ ‘Morning Routine,’ and ‘Ganbare Hiromi-chan!’

The creative minds behind the successful first season are back, with Hiroko Utsumi taking the director’s chair once again.

Michinori Chiba returns to design characters, ensuring visual continuity and appeal, while Ichirō Ōkouchi oversees the series scripts.

For those new to the series, ‘Sk8 the Infinity’ features a vibrant narrative centered on Reki, a passionate high school skateboarder, and Langa, a newcomer from Canada.

They find themselves drawn into ‘S,’ an intense and rule-free underground skateboard race held in an abandoned mine.

The series portrays a mix of dirty racers and AI competitors, crafting a narrative rich in action and youth culture.

First aired in January 2021 on ABC TV and TV Asahi’s ‘Animazing!!!’ block, the anime was also available on Funimation for international fans, with an English dub released in February 2021.

The series not only captivated viewers with its original run but also inspired two stage plays, reflecting its broad appeal.

With a second season on the horizon, ‘Sk8 the Infinity’ continues to build its legacy and fanbase, ensuring that the skateboarding adventures of Reki and Langa are far from over.
