Thanos Turns Hulk into His Pet and Makes Him Eat the Avengers

The beauty of the comic universe lies in its ability to generate endless outcomes. One storyline shows Thanos rising above his usual motives and becoming the true embodiment of evil as King Thanos. The destruction that followed extinguished his entire universe, including every God and Celestial, all for the sake of one thing: love.

In this version of reality, Thanos is so ruthless that even Mistress Death turns away in shock and disgust. He kills all of the Earthโ€™s Mightiest, King Thor, the Maestro, and more without breaking a sweat. He ends entire planets with a single energy blast, decimates the Eternals and the Celestials, reducing them to ashes. In the end, only Hulk and the immortal Cosmic Ghost Rider remain as his pet and right-hand man.

As King Thanos sits on his throne, the immortal Rider has some meat chopped up for the ‘dog.’ It turns out, the dog is the Hulk tied to the basement of the Mad Titanโ€™s palace. Hulk sits atop a pile of bones, among which lie Captain Americaโ€™s shield, a piece of Iron Manโ€™s armor, the claws of Wolverine, and Hawkeyeโ€™s bow. Hulk, turned into a monstrous pet, lost his integrity and humanity, eating his fellow Avengers.

When King Thanos was born, he was pure evil and chaos. Those who looked into his eyes went mad, and those in his path were snuffed out. As he ravaged worlds, galaxies, and universes for Deathโ€™s love, he eradicated almost every being with the Cosmic Ghost Rider by his side.

In the comic, King Thanos faces an empty universe with only Hulk, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and a version of Silver Surfer left. After a battle that ends the lives of Rider and Silver Surfer, Thanos goes up against his younger self. Disgusted by his future self, the younger Thanos returns to his timeline, vowing never to become King Thanos, thus erasing him from existence.
