‘The Acolyte’ Disappears From Nielsen Charts and Becomes the Least-Watched Star Wars Series on Disney+
‘The Acolyte’ has disappeared from the Nielsen ratings after its fourth episode, marking it as the least watched Star Wars series on Disney+, even falling behind ‘Andor.’
The series started strong with 488 million viewing minutes for its two-episode premiere but dropped to 370 million by the third episode. By the fourth episode, ‘The Acolyte’ was missing from the Nielsen charts entirely. To give some perspective, Netflix’s ‘King of Collectibles’ claimed the #10 spot with 298 million minutes, indicating that ‘The Acolyte’ performed even lower.
The drop in viewership aligns with the quality of the episodes; many mentioned that the third episode, which featured an unpopular flashback, turned viewers away. It seems that the early potential of the series wasn’t enough to keep viewers engaged.

Samba TV data also reflects a declining trend, showing that by the sixth episode, following a major lightsaber battle, ‘The Acolyte’ dropped off their charts as well.
In contrast, other Star Wars series have maintained stronger numbers. ‘Ahsoka’ pulled in 459 million minutes in its fourth week. ‘Andor’ saw a rise to 485 million minutes by its fourth episode, with following episodes bringing in 356 and 418 million. ‘Boba Fett’ reached 580 million, ‘Obi-Wan’ hit 682 million, and ‘The Mandalorian’ seasons two and three brought in 939 and 795 million minutes respectively in their fourth episodes.
‘The Acolyte’ concluded its run with no announcement of a second season. Initial data also highlighted that 75% of ‘The Mandalorian’ viewers didn’t tune into ‘The Acolyte,’ underscoring the lack of retention from the start.
