‘The Acolyte’ Season Finale Scores Lowest Star Wars Viewership Ratings
Episode 8 of ‘The Acolyte’ finsihed, and the numbers aren’t looking great. It has the lowest ratings for a Star Wars series on Disney+. For the first time, it made it to the Nielsen charts but only managed to snag the tenth spot.
During the week of July 15 to July 21, when the season finale dropped, ‘The Acolyte’ pulled in 335 million minutes watched. That’s a bit of an increase because more folks likely tuned in to catch up before the finale aired. Still, it wasn’t enough to keep it from being the lowest season finale for a Star Wars show on the platform.

Let’s talk about how it stacks up to other Star Wars series. When you look at the season finale numbers for other shows, ‘The Acolyte’ is behind by quite a bit. ‘Mando S2’ reached a whopping 1336 million minutes, followed by ‘The Mandalorian Season 3’ at 1012 million minutes. Then there’s ‘Boba Fett’ with 885 million, ‘Obi-Wan’ at 860 million, ‘Andor’ scoring 674 million, and ‘Ahsoka’ which pulled in 575 million minutes.
- Mandoย S2: 1336
- The Mandalorianย Season 3: 1012
- Boba Fett: 885
- Obi-Wan: 860
- Andor: 674
- Ahsoka: 575
A fan on Reddit even made some charts showing just how poorly ‘The Acolyte’ is doing compared to its Star Wars counterparts.

With a hefty price tag of around $200 million, the show’s future is uncertain. There wasn’t a peep about a second season at the recent D23 Expo, which doesn’t bode well for its continuation. So, what’s next for ‘The Acolyte’? We’re just going to have to wait and see. It’s a tough break, especially considering the high expectations we all have for Star Wars content.
