‘The Boys’ Season 4 premiered on July 21 on Prime Video and has already pulled in more than 55 million viewers according to Amazon. That’s a 20% increase from the audience numbers for Season 3 after 39 days. It seems like each season, more of us are tuning in to watch.

What’s interesting is that 60% of viewers for Season 4 are watching from outside the US, with strong audiences in Brazil, India, the UK, Germany, Canada, Mexico, France, Spain, and Italy. Itโ€™s not just popular here but all around the world.

Prime Video said that the first four days after Season 4 launched saw 21% more viewers than the beginning of Season 3. This season even made a splash on the Nielsen streaming charts, hitting third place with 1.19 billion viewing minutes in just one week, only falling behind ‘Bridgerton’ and ‘Your Honor’.

With viewership peaking, Season 4 has become the fourth most-watched TV season and the second most-watched returning season on Prime Video, only surpassed by ‘Reacher’ Season 2.

The finale, aired on July 18, was packed with action and drama. We saw Homelander’s intense fight for the White House, Hughie trying to sway Victoria, and Butcher grappling with his health while dealing with Ryan. The episode ended with a revelation that President Calhoun has been keeping Soldier Boy in a coma. Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan from the ‘Gen V’ spin-off also showed up, and we saw them in a tense scene where Sam subdued Kimiko and Cate persuaded Frenchie to follow her.

The big news is that ‘The Boys’ will conclude after five seasons. Vernon Sanders from Amazon MGM Studios shared that it was creator Eric Kripkeโ€™s idea to wrap up after five seasons. He explained, ‘Eric Kripke believes it should be a five-season series. While we asked him to consider extending it, he stuck to his vision. We respect that and will honor his original plan.’

They’re also currently working on ‘Gen V.’ Season 2, which sounds promising. Despite facing some challenges, including the loss of actor Chance Perdomo, they’re hopeful we’ll love the new season and theyโ€™re hinting at more to come from ‘The Boys’ universe.

All four seasons of ‘The Boys’ are now available for streaming on Prime Video, so if you havenโ€™t watched it yet or want to catch up, nowโ€™s the perfect time.
